Here is Adam's 8th rade graduation picture. Hard to believe he is going to be in high school. He is my youngest. The realization there is only 4 years left until he goes to college is amazing. Where did time go?

Adam has an appointment with Shriners tomorrow morning. It is the preop appointment for the removal of the plates and screws and grafting a nerve from his leg to his arm. I am apprehensive, but know it is for the betterment of my son.

Labor day weekend, Adam was playing in a youth football game and was tackled while running the ball.  It resulted in a compound fracture. Surgery was done to put in two plates, 12 screws and in the process of everything, severe nerve damage.  He does not have the use of his thumbe, forefinger and middle finger on his left hand. 

Tomorrow we go to Shriner's Childrens Hospital for his preop. They are going to remove the plates and graft a nerve from his leg to his arm. I am aprehensive but believe it will be for the betterment of Adam.
